This is a reproduction, not a photocopy, of an original Hardinge Older Model DV-59 Metal Lathe Owner"s and Operator"s Instruction Manual. This manual contains installing and setting up this lathe. It contains lubricating instructions and instructions on making adjustments like the brake, compound slide, collet closer, etc.. The manual includes instructions on how to replace the drive belt. It also includes the specifications of the lathe and accessories available at the time for this Hardinge DV59 metal lathe.

 

Please note: We have the parts manual for this lathe as well, and if you have a newer version of the DV59, we have an operator"s manual for it as well. The main difference between the two is in the motor drive system.

Nardini TT-1230 E Metal Lathe

A gentleman contacted us from Canada about this green Nardini TT-1230 E Turn-Tru metal lathe. He just got it, and was needing some wiring diagrams. We had just the manual he needed for the Nardini TT-1230E with the wiring and parts diagrams. More information on it is below. The Nardini TT-1230 E  has a 12" swing with an 8" swing over the cross slide. The spindle bore 1 3/8" with a D1-3 Camlock spindle nose. Maximum spindle speed is 2,000 RPMs. The tailstock has a #3 MT. In 1986 the Nardini TT-1230E sold for $4,795, which is the equivalent to $10,493.13 today.

 Owner"s Operator Instructions and Parts Manual

We carry a instructions and parts manual for this Nardini TT-1230 E at the link below. Nardini manuals are put together very well with all the information you would expect. It has the standard operating instructions with the maintenance and lubrication chart. The manual contains the wiring diagrams and information about making adjustments. The parts diagrams are all explosive view, and show the parts very clearly. This manual covers the TT-1020, TT-1030, TT-1220, TT-1230, TT-125 and TT-150 Turn Tru series.

Found this at the Missouri History Museum in St. Louis. This poster was illustrated by Pat Holbrooke in 1944. It was in the section displaying the war effort and actions taken in St. Louis and Missouri during the time. I have a lot of respect for the veterans of WWII. My father is even a Vietnam veteran.

We"ve added 19 new Cincinnati milling machine and tool grinder operator"s instruction, service, and parts manuals.

We"ve been busy in our shop, but we"ve found some time to scan in and clean up over 1,400 pages of Cincinnati milling machine and tool grinder manuals for you. They have been uploaded and are now available in the Cincinnati section.

We have instructions, service, and parts manuals for the different Dial Type horizontal and vertical milling machines, as well as the Nos. 1 and 2 cutter and tool grinders. We have instruction and parts manuals for the Cincinnati Dividing Heads, and some of the vertical milling attachments that Cincinnati made. We have more Cincinnati manuals to come in the future.

This is the oldest most comprehensive catalogs we"ve seen from the Cincinnati Milling Machine Co. A lot of care had to be taken into scanning this old catalog. Check it out, because we believe it was well worth it. It shows pictures of the old factory and laboratory facilities. It has all kinds of different mills and grinders that Cincinnati made at the time. This is great information to help you identify your old Cincinnati machinery, or to learn more about the evolution of their machinery.

Been working on taking gear box off this 16" #WalkerTurner #metal #bandsaw Any recommendations?

We see that there is a plug on the end, but haven"t figured out how to take it out without breaking something. Thought about disassembling it from the wheel end on the other side.
